Alumni Program

When you reach out, we reach back!

At Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches, we recognize recovery is a life-long journey. Hundreds of our alumni remain involved in alumni activities years after treatment. They tell us that helping others is a rich and rewarding part of their lives. We are here for you beyond the day you discharge. Once you have completed Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches’ residential treatment, you are always a part of the Archstone family. Please call us at 1 (855) 899-2292 if you are interested in starting an Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches Alumni Meeting in your area, or if you would like to participate in the alumni program. We would love to hear from you!

There is an alumni meeting at Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches every Saturday from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Hi Dr. A, Stef, Heidi, and Sally,

This is Mark H….. Hope you are all well! Have been waiting for my 90 day milestone to update you on how things are going. Yes, I reached 90 days sober last Saturday. I am very proud of that! I do not have a home group yet officially as I jump around between 4 meetings. I am attending a meeting everyday and usually 2 on Sat. and Sunday. On Saturday night I attend an LGBT AA meeting. Its very cool, kind of far away but worth the trip and we head out to a diner afterwards. Have made a friend or two there and several friends at my straight AA meetings. Because of the distance to the LGBT meeting, I did not choose a sponsor from there, but have a wonderful sponsor that told me to start calling him everyday at my first meeting back from rehab. Still call him everyday and see him at meetings. Only asked him a week or so ago to be my sponsor so we have not got together yet to start anything, but I am reading the Big Book usually 1 chapter per day at lunch, praying on my knees every morning and trying to do the right thing everyday. I do share quite a bit at meetings and am chairing my first meeting this Monday which is a Living Sober meeting. My choice of chapters.

Things are going very well and I can not remember every being happier that I am now! Doing things I would never have done while drinking. Good Fun stuff!Spending as much time with my son as possible. Eating right and going to the gym everyday. I just feel Great! Usually have a smile on my face which is something new. Really feel like I’m ‘in’ the program. Try and do service work when I can even if its just cleaning up after the meeting. Finally feel like I’m firing on all cylinders and of course I feel I have God to thank for that. He is my higher power and I talk to him everyday. He blessed me with getting to go to Archstone and meeting and working with all of you and he continues to bless me everyday. Still avoid driving by my old Bar, but that’s ok with me. No big deal!

Well, thank you again for all you did for me! You not only saved my life but gave me the tools to created have a life! Archstone was truly a blessing for me as was the entire staff.

Hope you are all well!

Will try and update you in another 90 days! lol

Take care, God bless, and keep up the great work! You all do truly save lives!
